1916 (8 APR) registered cover from St John's to Switzerland, franked by 1897-1918 4c violet and 1911-16 1c yellow-green and 5c ultramarine, the 1c uncancelled but the 4c and 5c tied by 'R' in oval, with large 'REGISTERED / ST JOHN'S NEWFD' oval ds at lower left. Backstamped at Liverpool (28 AP) and Zurich (2 May). Attractive. - P267000305
