1941 (24 OCT) cover to India, correctly franked (on reverse) at 8c by 1921-41 ordinary paper 3c chestnut and 5c deep reddish purple/bright yellow, tied by single despatch cds (Proud type D4). On arrival readdressed to Ceylon, with triangular "PASSED BY CENSOR" and "PASSED FOR TRANSMISSION" censor marks on face, and backstamped at Sevvur and Ponnamaravathy. A fine cover, the ordinary paper printings seldom seen on cover. - P245000037
