1860-70 2d rose, 6d lilac, 1s brown, wmk Pineapple, three values, each imperf at left and h/s "SPECIMEN" (Samuel type D8), affixed to small piece of De La Rue day book for 30 August 1867. A unique and beautiful trio with wonderfully fresh colours. Ex 'Dubois' (Spink 19 Nov 2020, lot 236) and illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" (vol 4, p.4301).
