Ionian Islands SG CC4 1848 entire from Zante to Marseilles

1848 (10 Aug) entire (written in Italian) from Zante to Marseilles, endorsed "via de Malte" and showing on face a superb strike of 'PAID / AT / ZANTE' crowned circle, 'scroll' despatch ds, Marseilles arrival (18 Aug) cds and m/s "3" rating, with Malta transit (AU 13) cds on reverse. A very fine cover with an exceptional strike of the crowned circle and rare thus. RPS cert (2012).
