INDIA IEF 1914 SGE11b Mint

1914 (Sept) 12a carmine-lake, showing "opt double, one albino", block of nine with part interpane margin below, o.g. (eight stamps unmounted). The albino impression (1Ωmm above and 1mm to left of the inked opt) exceptionally clear (easily detectable from face) and with fully inked offset on reverse. Lightly toned (one stamp with a small tone spot), still fine colour and appearance. A very interesting multiple, from a sheet issued at Basra (Iraq) in Feb 1916. (cat ¨®£540+). - P212000298
