1855 4a deep blue and deep red, fourth printing, head die III frame die II, horizontal pair with good to large margins, pos. 15-16 on the sheet with large part centre guide, lightly cancelled by individual diamonds of dots, which most unusually (for a 4a pair) leave both profiles virtually clear. A very fine and most attractive pair with exceptional colours which really do match the 'deep blue and deep red' catalogue listing. Rare thus. - P267001764
