INDIA 1854 SG2 var Mint ½a blue die I 'A' stone block of 4 watermark inverted and reversed
£1,500.00
SKU: P267001787
1854 (1 Oct)-55 ½a blue (towards deep), Die I 'A' stone, block of four with good to very large margins, pos. 45-46/53-54, WMK INVERTED & REVERSED, from a flawed and retouched sub-stone, very fresh unused. Pos. 54 with characteristic 'Group 6' touch up to chignon, while both 53 (variety 'HAIF') and 54 show retouching to bottom frame line. Minor wrinkling from watermark at left does not detract from very fine appearance. A most interesting and rare multiple. - P267001787
