1880 Overseas mail. Very fine cover from London to Buenos Aires prepaid at the 4d per ¬Ωoz rate by a 4d grey-brown Pl.17 (SG154 Wmk. Large garter) tied by a London E.C. 'EC/54' duplex for NO.3.1880. Endorsed at upper left 'Per French Packet' with a Buenos Aires arrival cds on reverse for the 28th. A very elusive stamp on cover with only circa 50 examples known. - P234000248
