1857 Transatlantic mail. Very fine cover from Belfast to New York via Liverpool. Sent per Cunard steamer "Persia" bearing a 1s green (SG 72) unusually at lower left neatly tied by a Belfast "62" spoon cancel for SE.2.1857. alongside a red US "PAID" handstamp and a red "5 cents" handstamp to show the U.S. Postal office share of the postage for onward delivery. Backstamped with a Liverpool cds for SP.3.1857. - P201012378
