GB 1841 Cover - UPP Ballymena to Ballymoney

1840 Uniform Penny Post. Very fine pair of wrappers both sent from Ballymena to Ballymoney the first example bearing a red manuscript "1d" and a blue boxed "PAID AT/ BALLYMENA" with a matching blue "TOO LATE" handstamp on reverse and transit datestamps for AP.8.1841. The second wrapper bearing an identical "PAID AT/ BALLYMENA" handstamp with a red handstruck "d1" of Ballymena (F&K #379) alongside bearing a black "TOO LATE" handstamp on reverse with black Ballymena and Ballymoney datestamps for JU.5.1841 & JU.6.1840 respectively. A wonderful pair of covers and scarce Irish UPP covers so fine. - P212003188
