Cape of Good Hope SG 3 Used 1853 1d brick-red on slightly blued paper triangular block of 4

1853 1d brick-red, Perkins Bacon printing on slightly blued paper (strong "Ivory head" effect on reverse), TRIANGULAR BLOCK OF 4, imperforate with close (just in at foot) to enormous (portion of adjoining stamp at left) margins, used with several strikes of the triangular obliterator which leaves 'Hope' entirely clear on the upper stamp. Some imperfections (pressed creasing, ink stains on reverse), still attractive and very scarce in this form and condition. (cat £1800++) P267000023
