1865 (JY 6) registered cover from Montreal to Buxton, franked at 7c by 1859 1c pale rose x2 and 5c deep red, tied by three strikes of 'MONTREAL / C.E.' duplex with s/l 'REGISTERED' h/s below. Various backstamps incl Chatham (JY 8), London (JY 8) and Buxton, the latter an undated split-ring with m/s date '10 July 1865' inserted. Slight cover faults but a very scarce combination franking. - P267000774
