AUSTRALIA 1935 SG156/vars Mint Silver Jubilee 2d scarlet, range of 24 corner plate number blocks of four (22 different), lpog

1935 (2 May) Silver Jubilee 2d scarlet, comprehensive range of twenty-four (!) corner blocks of four with plate numbers, two being duplicates, otherwise comprising all four positions for plates 2-6 and two for plate 1, large part o.g. to o.g. (many stamps/blocks unmounted). Odd minor imperfections (bends, short perfs), nevertheless mostly very fine and fresh, and well above average for such an assembly, which would be difficult to replicate. Particular points of interest are provided by the upper left block from plate "2", with unlisted plate flaw (?) on R2/2, and the lower right block from plate "6", with a striking marginal misperforation. [This stamp was printed from six plates, each of 320 stamps arranged in eight panes of 40 (10x4), the issued post office sheets being double panes (10x8).] - P234005446
