Zanzibar SG 3, 5, 8 vars Mint 1895-96 reconstructed sheet

1895-96 type 1 opt on India, a reconstruction of one of the late settings of 60 (6x10), closely resembling T.W. Hall's setting 'A' (RPS handbook of 1906, p.660) but without any tall second 'z', mostly the ½a value, but including an irregular block of 8 of the 1½a and a pair of the 2a6p, brilliant o.g. Mostly multiples, with some overlapping, with two irregular blocks of 25, a block of 6, a block of 4 and an irregular block of 4. Odd minor imperfections but mostly very fine. The vast majority of the positions show small second 'z', with normal 'z' only at R5/1, R9/2, R9/4 and R10/1-6. The major varieties are Narrow capital 'Z' (with curls in 'B') at R1/3, Daun's capital 'Z' at R5/3, defective second 'A' at R3/5 and R7/1 (the second not constant?).
