1903 set of 11 to 2r25, wmk CA, opt 'SPECIMEN', and with additional 'ULTRAMAR' security H/S in violet, applied in Lisbon for despatch to Portuguese colonies, without gum. Only 25 such sets existed, and five values (6c, 12c, 15c, 45c, 75c) show the constant variety Broken 'M' (pos. 41 of the setting), each of which is by definition UNIQUE with the 'ULTRAMAR' H/S. Fractionally toned (and a couple of 'normals' with minor wrinkles), still fine with excellent colours. A desirable and remarkable set. - P212014589
