1916-27 group of six pieces from the Madagascar P.O. archive, respectively bearing the 1916 original wmk MCA "set" of 10, 1922 (July) 3d and 4d on pale yellow paper (wmk MCA) together with original Script wmk "set" of 8 (all with type D12 opt), the 1923 (April) "set" of 9 (all with type D16 opt), 1923 (June) 5s, 1926 2¬Ωd pale bright blue, and 1927 3d purple/yellow (dated "24 Janvier 1927"), 32 values each as a horizontal strip of 3, opt "SPECIMEN" for UPU distribution and tied by fine to very fine strikes of the red "POSTES ET TELEGRAPHES / COLLECTION DE BERNE / MADAGASCAR" large circular receiving H/S. Unique and highly attractive items, in lovely fresh condition. A wonderful opportunity to acquire the complete collection of the type 8 design from an archival source. [N.B.
