1884 (Sept) "8" on 8c on 12c dull purple, type 23 surcharge with additional type 24 numeral in red, variety "s" of "Cents" low (R5/1), neatly cancelled by undated "SINGAPORE / P.O." (Proud type K22) and part company chop in red. Stained adhesions on reverse from previous mounting mentioned for accuracy but not affecting fine appearance of this major rarity, this one of only a handful of examples possible. BPA cert (2024).
