1866 (28 June) 6a purple fiscal, type 15 'POSTAGE' opt, a rare MISCUT example of the correct height with green bars present at top and bottom but the six-pointed star below 'ANNAS' instead of above 'SIX', lightly cancelled by legible part 'BOMBAY/INDIA PAID/1' duplex, dated 'AU 8 66'. Well-centred and very fine, and certainly the best of the few examples we have ever seen. An important and underappreciated variety. - P267001795
