Illustrated Envelopes. 1868 (JA 18) handpainted front (with card backing) addressed to 'Mrs Henley, Mayfield Villa, Marlborough, Wilts.', franked by 1864-79 1d rose-red (pl. 85), tied by 'LONDON-N.W / N.W 16' duplex, and depicting a well-executed Georgian scene of three children (the artist and two patrons) admiring an easel and canvas (which contains the address and stamp).
