Maude, Esquire, Resident Commissioner, Gilbert and Ellice Islands Colony, Tarawa', red m/s 'T. 4/8' mark at top and bearing 1940 Postage Due set of 8 (plus additional 1d, 4d), all tied by five strikes of 'POST OFFICE / TARAWA' cds. Minor cover blemishes but most unusual, the reverse with large part wax seal of the Resident Commissioner. - P267000787
