Very fine cover to London posted on board a channel steamer, rated in manuscript '2/1' for an up to ¾oz letter, cancelled upon arrival with the scarce London boxed 'M-B' (Moveable box, Robertson type MB1) handstamp in black/red (mixed inks) with a red Ship-Letter/London (Robertson type S29) datestamp for SP.3.1849, second receiving datestamp on reverse also for the 3rd.
