1847 Maritime Mail. Superb cover from Bahia, Brazil to London via Dunmore East and Dublin. Reverse shows a DUNMORE EAST/83 mileage mark above a very fine Dunmore East scroll SHIP LETTER handstamp (Robertson type S1) with Waterford, Dublin and London datestamps for MR.25+27.1847 on reverse. Front shows a very fine red 'DUBLIN/Ship Letter' handstamp (Robertson type S5) and a black handstruck '8' rate marking. Superb exhibition quality example of this rare ship letter handstamp. - P223015283
