1840 1d Black Pl.9. Very fine used horizontal strip of four lettered NG-NJ, just cut into at foot of NG otherwise with large margins all round. Neatly tied to a clean cover from London to Wymondham, Norfolk by black MC's with a Lombard Street Maltese cross datestamp on reverse for FE.11.1841. Central filing fold well clear of adhesives, as to expected on such a large cover. A superb up to 2oz franking and a rare multiple for this plate. Spec. AS57. - P223010194
