1840 Uniform Penny Post. Very fine entire sent from Auchenblae to Aberdeen with a clear strike of a handstruck "PAID 1." handstamp in red which is often associated with Laurencekirk but all known letters carrying this mark entered the post at Auchenblae. Backstamped by an un-inked Auchenblae S.O. handstamp and a Laurencekirk boxed datestamp for JY.10.1840. Very scarce. Ex Peter Chadwick FRPSL Gold Medal Collection. - P201008495
