FALKLAND ISLANDS 1935 SG140d Used Silver Jubilee 2½d variety Flagstaff on right-hand turret

1935 Silver Jubilee 2¬Ωd brown and deep blue, block of 4 from vignette plate "5", the upper left stamp variety "Flagstaff on right-hand turret" (R7/1), tied to piece by individual fine strikes of type FB1 "FOX-BAY / FALKLAND ISLANDS" cds, dated "18 DE 35". Attractive and very scarce. Only 394 possible, from Jan 1935 first printing (1574 sheets, from vignette plates 5-8), very few of which are likely to have been used in Fox Bay. - P234004434
