1938-52 set of 12 to $3, perf "SPECIMEN" (type W8a, except 48c and 96c type W8 and the 1945 $2 and $3 type W9), in VERTICAL (1c, 24c, 60c, $1) or HORIZONTAL PAIRS (marginal except 96c, $2, $3), unmounted o.g. The 1c, 48c and $1 apparently with interpane margin at left (1c), top (48c) or right from the original printer's double pane sheets, such as are never encountered with the issued stamps. The 1c, 6c and $3 each with one short perf, but a very rare and interesting assembly. - P223008647
